The Challenge
The client had an existing PXI-based Data Acquisition system and required LabVIEW Source Code with a user-friendly front panel and the ability to monitor current, voltage and temperature during a current time trial before fuse blow.
The software is required to supply data for a wiring loom downsizing study for a major automobile manufacturer.
The Solution
Austin Consultants provided a LabVIEW-based solution architected to NI CLA coding standards. The solution was based around an ‘Action Engine’ style architecture, allowing for simple, object-oriented development which is easy to modify and maintain for future developers.
Our solution was based upon National Instruments PXI hardware drivers and has an open architecture to allow for future channel expansion and additional measurement types.
